Book 16: Cinder

Related image

Ok.

You may (or may not) know that I LOVE fairy tales and fairy tale retellings.

This one is pretty special.

Because Cinderella is a....cyborg.

Set in a futuristic world, you get to follow the story of Cinder, a mechanic.

I'm really not sure how to tell you about this book without spoiling everything....

It's written by Marissa Meyer, the same lady who wrote Heartless

Cinder is the first book in the Lunar Chronicles.

Book 15: Skulduggery Pleasant: Playing With Fire

Wow.
I'm on the 15th book already...

Anyway:

This is the second book in the Skulduggery Pleasant Series. From what I can tell, this series isn't one problem or main goal stretched out over multiple books, like Percy Jackson and The Olympians or Heroes of Olympus. Skulduggery and Valkyrie Cain are facing a different villain in this book, (Which *SPOILERS* is understandable, considering the last one exploded) But they still have problems that they were dealing with in the first book that stretch over to the second.

It is really really good.

Go read it.

If you haven't read the first book yet, here is is: TA DA

Book 14: Skulduggery Pleasant: The Scepter of the Ancients

This book is written by Derek Landy, a hilarious Irish author.

What happens when a young girl inherits nearly the entire estate of her eccentric but rich uncle?

Why she finds herself in a world of magic!
This book is amazingly funny.

Follow Stephine as she embarks on an adventure to save the world beside Skulduggery Pleasant, a snappy dressing, sharp witted sorcerer.

Oh.

And he's also a talking skeleton.

Who can throw fire.

Don't believe me?

And if you STILL don't believe this is an awesome book (Just look at the cover!), then you should know: Ricl Rioradn, creator of the famed Percy Jackson Series, likes this book.

Plus Derek Landy is hilarious. His very own blog!

Book 13: Heartless

Just a quick note

........

DO NOT BLOODY READ THIS IT WILL RIP OUT YOUR HEART AND DANCE ON IT.

That being said, this is the story of the Queen of Hearts, before she became Queen.

DO NOT READ IT! YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO WATCH ALICE IN WONDERLAND AGAIN!

Also, you will read all the White Rabbit's lines in his voice.

I couldn't decided which title I liked better....

Just to sum up:

DO NOT READ IT!

(But if you wanted to know how it was, it was an amazing well written book. Uses your heart way too much to be called "Heartless" )

Book 12: Washington's Secret Six

Washington's Secret Six is  non-fiction ( I actually read a lot of these...)

It is a historical story of Washington's spy ring. It was pretty interesting and put an interesting perspective on the Revolutionary War.

It is written by Brain Kilmeade and Don Yaeger
